Attending plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is even better with others to share the experience. At this retreat, you also get the added bonus of enjoying the beauty and comfort of Camp Latgawa in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest! A Shakespearean scholar will lead interactive discussions to help you better understand Shakespeare’s writings and enrich your viewing of the performances.
The plays chosen for the retreat this year:
Wednesday evening, August 23: Romeo and Juliet
Thursday evening, August 24: Twelfth Night
There may be the option to add on a Thursday matinee of Where We Belong.
Visit OSF's website for more information on the plays and the Festival.
Afternoons are unscheduled. You can hike, swim in the pool, play ping-pong, read a good book, or go to Ashland early for dinner and shopping.
The retreat will start on Tuesday afternoon with check-in at camp 4pm – 6pm. Please let the camp know if you will arrive later than this. The event will conclude after breakfast on Friday.
Tickets prices coming soon. Van transportation will be provided to and from the plays, or you may drive yourself if you prefer. A picnic meal may be arranged prior to some plays, depending on the schedule.
